On February 16, Canada welcomed 1,082 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian immigration.
In the current invitation round, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) solely invited individuals from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The cutoff for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 710. When PNP candidates receive their nomination, their score is automatically increased by 600 points, which is why the minimum score was so high.
This is the third time in a row that a PNP draw has set a new high for the number of invitations received. The previous record was set two weeks earlier when 1,070 PNP hopefuls were invited to apply.
Candidates who have been invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada now have 60 days to do so.
