Fully vaccinated travellers no longer require a pre-arrival COVID-19 test to enter Canada as of April 1.
Before crossing the border, travellers must still give confirmation of vaccination status and all other required information using the ArriveCAN app, which can be used on a desktop or mobile device. Regardless of their immunization status, travellers who arrive without completing their ArriveCAN submission may be subjected to a pre-arrival test and a 14-day quarantine. Travellers who are taking a cruise or flying must enter their information in ArriveCAN 72 hours prior to boarding.
Travellers who have been partially vaccinated or who have not been vaccinated will still be subject to testing and quarantine. Pre-arrival testing, on-arrival tests, and the third test on day eight of their quarantine are all required of Canadian and exempt international travellers. Except in extraordinary circumstances, foreign nationals who are not completely vaccinated are still forbidden from entering Canada. Unvaccinated foreign nationals can use a tool to see if they can cross the border in Canada.
