Ukrainians and their families in Canada may now be eligible for a one-time payment of $3,000 for adults and $1,500 for children under the age of 17.
The money is just for Ukrainians who have a valid Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET). Applications must be submitted through the online site of the Government of Canada.
Ukrainians must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for financial aid:
1. CBSA will offer you an IMM 1442 form (a visitor record, a study permit, or a work permit) with the “CUAET-AVUCU” remark when you enter Canada.
2. A number that serves as a unique client identification (UCI)
3. Details about a Canadian financial institution’s direct deposit.
