The IRCC recently announced significant changes to the Parents and Grandparents Super Visa.
Effective July 4, 2022:
1. The maximum stay for Super Visa holders in Canada will be extended to five years per entrance.
2. People with a Super Visa can request an extension of their stay in Canada for up to two years. This implies that current Super Visa holders can now stay in Canada for up to seven years in a row.
3. In the future, Canada’s Immigration Minister will be able to appoint overseas medical insurance providers to provide coverage to Super Visa applicants.
