Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Updated! You Can Apply After Graduating High School!
Great news! On August 27th, 2019, a few months after its closure, Citizenship and Immigration Canada officially announced that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is reopened once again!
On September 6, 2022, the Ontario government announced plans to make amendments to the province’s current regulations. The suggested changes would bring the OINP in line with the new National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 system, which is already in use as the official classification system by Statistics Canada (StatCan) and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
Under the Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker stream, changes include requiring applicants to demonstrate competency at the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 Level or above. This amendment aligns with the program’s interest in promoting employees’ successful integration and is expected to better protect applicants and the OINP against misrepresentation and other program integrity concerns.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
The program is particularly good for potential immigrants because the applicant does not have any meet requirements, it is low cost, fast, and has a higher success rate compared to other streams of immigrants that require hundreds of thousands of Canadian dollars in investments and IELTS scores Of 5 or more. Potential immigrants can apply as long as the applicant’s occupation meets the requirements and they can prove that they are permanently employed by an Ontario business.

A word from the CEO, Susan Gong:
OINP has the lowest threshold of requirements and the cost of capital required is also much lower compared to other streams of Canadian immigration.
The applicant’s entire family will gain PR after the success of application. They will then have access to Canada’s high quality of living and amazing healthcare and education system.
Canada will be holding another election at the end of October, 2019. This election may bring about changes to the immigration policy, so it is recommended that those with dreams of immigrating to Canada to seize this opportunity to apply to OINP as soon as possible.
