On June 22, Canada welcomed 636 Express Entry hopefuls to submit applications for permanent residence.
All invited candidates had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 752 and had previously been nominated by a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Because Express Entry candidates automatically receive a 600-point boost when they receive a provincial nomination, the required minimum score was quite high. The lowest-scoring candidates would have had 152 base points without the nomination.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) welcomed 932 Express Entry applicants having scores of at least 796 in the previous draw.
