In the past few months, we have received many requests for photo tips through social media. All of them have sent photos at least once. Unfortunately, they were all rejected.<\/span>\n\n \n

Photo specifications<\/h2>\n

– Photo dimensions of permanent resident card are: 50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches wide x 2 3\/4 inches long) <\/span>\n– Must be taken within the last six months<\/span>\n– Height of the face measures between 31 mm and 36 mm (1 1\/4 inches and 1 7\/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head)<\/span>\n– Eyes have to be open and clearly visible and mouth closed<\/span>\n– Wear dark-colored clothes (the background is white)<\/span>\n– You can wear simple necklaces & earrings <\/span>\n– Make sure the glasses are not reflective<\/span>\n– Your hair can be down but should not cover your face<\/span><\/h2>\n \n

Note<\/h2>\n

– Don’t laugh\n– Don’t wear off-the-shoulder tops\n– Contact lenses are prohibited\n– Don’t photoshop\n– Sunglasses and colored glasses are not allowed\n– Hats\/hoods are not allowed unless for religious or medical purposes\n– No shadows on the face\/shoulders\/ears\/background<\/span><\/h2>\n \n

Mailing the photos<\/h2>\n

The following information must be written on the back of the photos:<\/span><\/h2>\n

– Applicant’s name and date of birth\n– Name of address of the photography studio\n– Date the photo was taken <\/span><\/h2>\n
