The employer must obtain approval for the employment position, after which the candidate can participate in Ontario\u2019s Expression of Interest system.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Candidates are ranked through the OINP Expression of Interest system. Ontario may then invite selected candidates to apply for provincial nomination.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Ontario Workforce Priority Stream has three pathways:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/ontario-workforce-priority-stream-teer-0-3\/\"><strong>TEER 0\u20133 Pathway<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/ontario-workforce-priority-stream-teer-4-5-eligibility-guide-2026\/\"><strong>TEER 4\u20135 Pathway<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/ontario-workforce-priority-stream-owp-self-employed-physicians-2026-eligibility-and-requirements-how-to-guide\/\"><strong>Self-Employed Physician Pathway<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><p>Together, these pathways cover management, professional, technical, skilled trades, essential service and support occupations throughout Ontario.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a825b8e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"a825b8e\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-50a7bc2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"50a7bc2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">OINP 2.0: WHAT CHANGED IN 2026?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d50138 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7d50138\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"comp-m4rgbw9z4\" class=\"Z_l5lU ku3DBC zQ9jDz qvSjx3 Vq6kJx comp-m4rgbw9z4 wixui-rich-text\" data-testid=\"richTextElement\">\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ontario introduced the first phase of its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/%e5%ae%89%e5%a4%a7%e7%95%a5%e7%9c%81%e6%8f%90%e5%90%8d%e7%a7%bb%e6%b0%91%e8%ae%a1%e5%88%92-oinp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OINP<\/a>\u00a0redesign in June 2026. The changes came into force on June 25, 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Under the new system, Ontario closed eight former immigration streams and introduced the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream as the province\u2019s principal workforce-based nomination pathway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The following former OINP streams were closed:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><em>Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Employer Job Offer: International Student<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Master\u2019s Graduate<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>PhD Graduate<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Express Entry Human Capital Priorities<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Express Entry Skilled Trades<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The new OINP 2.0 model places greater emphasis on arranged employment, employer participation, work experience, language ability, education and current Ontario labour market needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The redesign is also intended to make it easier for employers in rural and northern Ontario to participate by introducing more flexible business revenue href=\"http:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/ontario-workforce-priority-stream-teer-0-3\/\"><strong>TEER 0\u20133 Pathway<\/strong><\/a> is designed for internationally trained workers with a full-time, permanent job offer in an occupation classified under <strong>TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">These classifications generally include:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li><strong>Management occupations<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Professional occupations<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Technical occupations<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Skilled trades<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Supervisory positions<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Specialized healthcare occupations<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Applicants must generally meet at least one of the following work experience requirements:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Six consecutive months of paid, full-time experience during the previous 12 months in the job-offer position with the Ontario employer<\/li><li>Three consecutive months of paid, full-time experience during the previous 12 months for an eligible recent Ontario graduate<\/li><li>Two years of cumulative paid work experience during the previous five years in the same NOC occupation or another specifically permitted related occupation<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Applicants generally require a post-secondary degree or diploma and language proficiency at CLB 6. A CLB 5 requirement applies to certain designated occupations.<\/p><p>Different or alternate requirements may apply to recent Ontario graduates, licensed professionals and certain occupations. Applicants who already hold a mandatory professional licence or authorization may be exempt from specified work experience and education requirements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"e-n-tab-content-1545810302\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-tab-title-1545810302\" data-tab-index=\"2\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The OWP Stream <a href=\"https:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/ontario-workforce-priority-stream-teer-4-5-eligibility-guide-2026\/\">TEER 4\u20135 Pathway<\/a> is open to foreign workers with a full-time, permanent Ontario job offer in a TEER 4 or TEER 5 occupation.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This pathway can include workers in essential, service, production, support and labour-intensive occupations.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Applicants must generally have:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li><strong>At least nine months of cumulative paid, full-time work experience during the previous two years<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Experience in the offered position with the job-offer employer<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>A minimum language level of CLB 4<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>A Canadian secondary school diploma or its equivalent<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>The qualifying work experience must generally have been gained while the applicant was lawfully living and working in Ontario.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"e-n-tab-content-1545810303\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-tab-title-1545810303\" data-tab-index=\"3\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Ontario Workforce Priority Stream also includes a pathway for <a href=\"https:\/\/cicvisa.com\/zh_cn\/ontario-workforce-priority-stream-owp-self-employed-physicians-2026-eligibility-and-requirements-how-to-guide\/\"><strong>eligible self-employed physicians<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Unlike the TEER 0\u20133 and TEER 4\u20135 pathways, <strong>qualifying physicians are not required to hold a traditional job offer from an Ontario employer.<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A physician must generally:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li><strong>Be or intend to be self-employed<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Be a member in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Hold an eligible certificate of registration<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Hold an independent, academic or provisional certificate<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Be eligible to receive payment for publicly funded healthcare services through Ontario\u2019s health insurance system<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>Eligible physicians must still participate in the OINP selection process and receive an invitation before submitting an application for provincial nomination.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">OWP STREAM JOB OFFER REQUIREMENTS<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f19f2c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5f19f2c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"comp-m4rgbw9z4\" class=\"Z_l5lU ku3DBC zQ9jDz qvSjx3 Vq6kJx comp-m4rgbw9z4 wixui-rich-text\" data-testid=\"richTextElement\">\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Most applicants under the OWP Stream must have an <strong>approved job offer<\/strong> from an eligible Ontario employer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The employment position must generally be:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Full-time<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Paid<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Permanent or of an indeterminate duration<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Primarily based in Ontario<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Urgently necessary to the employer\u2019s business<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Within the correct TEER category for the applicant\u2019s pathway<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Paid at or above the applicable wage requirement<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A full-time position generally requires at least 30 hours of paid work per week and at least 1,560 paid hours over a 12-month period.<\/p>\n<p>The offered wage will normally need to meet the applicable regional wage published by the Government of Canada Job Bank.
