Applications are now being accepted for a new avenue to bring in talented people who have been selected by Quebec and are awaiting permanent residency.
The International Mobility Program Plus (IMP+) is a new work permit option available to Quebec-selected permanent residents. It’s a strategy for Quebec to address present labour shortages by speeding up the entrance of skilled people into the province.
A foreign national must meet the following criteria to be eligible for an open work permit under the IMP+:
When they apply, they must:
1. Live outside of Quebec;
2. Have a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) proving permanent residency under the Regular Skilled Worker Program or the Permanent Immigration Pilot Program for workers in the artificial intelligence, information technologies, and visual effects industries;
3. Have obtained a letter of invitation from the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) under the IMP+ programme;
4. Submit a complete application for a work permit.
