Big news from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)! Starting April 30, 2024, all permanent residency application fees will see a significant jump.

Expect nearly 12–13% increase in immigration fees, a considerable jump from the previous 3% increase in 2022.

The new rates reflect the cumulative inflation rate as per the Consumer Price Index over 2022 and 2023.

Fee Exemptions

Dependent children and protected individuals remain exempt from the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

Special Categories

Principal applicants under “humanitarian and compassionate” and “public policy” categories may also be exempt.

Permit Holder Class

Accompanying family members must apply separately as principal applicants.
