Canadian immigration services to be disrupted as 155,000 federal government employees go on strike

The majority of government agencies would be affected by the strike, including Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), according to the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), a union that represents 155,000 federal government workers. While the strike is ongoing, some government of Canada services will be restricted.
