Attracting digital nomads: Canada aims to become a top destination for digital nomads by exploring additional policies to attract them. This opens up opportunities for remote workers to consider settling in Canada and seek employment with Canadian companies. Improvements to existing tech programs: Enhancements are being made to programs like the Global Skills Strategy and the Start-up Visa, making it easier for tech workers to gain quick access to Canadian opportunities and pursue permanent residence. Work permit for H1-B specialty occupation visa holders: H1-B visa holders in the US can now apply for an open work permit in Canada for up to three years, allowing them to work for any employer across the country.
