This opens up opportunities for remote workers to consider settling in Canada and seek employment with Canadian companies. Improvements to existing tech programs: Enhancements are being made to programs like the Global Skills Strategy and the Start-up Visa, making it easier for tech workers to gain quick access to Canadian opportunities and pursue permanent residence. Work permit for H1-B specialty occupation visa holders: H1-B visa holders in the US can now apply for an open work permit in Canada for up to three years, allowing them to work for any employer across the country.
