The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s New Employer Portal Launches on July 2, 2025

On July 2, 2025, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will flip the switch on its all-new Employer Portal—a fully digital hub that replaces the old paper-based employer form and fundamentally shifts the Employer Job Offer streams from an applicant-driven to an employer-driven process.

What’s Changing?

Today: You, the candidate, submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) first, and then your Canadian employer supplies the supporting job-offer documentation.

July 2 onward: Employers must register in the new portal and enter the details of the job offer before any candidate can file or re-register their EOI. Only once an employer has posted a valid position will applicants see that opportunity and express their interest.

This new workflow applies across all three Employer Job Offer streams:

  • Foreign Worker

  • International Student

  • In-Demand Skills

Key Features of the New Employer Portal

  • Online Submission & Management: No more paper forms—everything is done and tracked online.

  • My Ontario Integration: A single sign-on experience for employers and candidates alike.

  • Secure Document Uploads: Employers upload sensitive files directly—candidates no longer handle confidential paperwork.

  • Auto-Filled Fields: The system remembers your information and cuts down on repetitive data entry.

  • Multiple User Access: Add HR staff, hiring managers, or authorized representatives as needed.

  • Clear Status Tracking: Real-time dashboards and direct messaging between employers and OINP officers keep you in the loop.

Transition Timeline

  • June 20 – July 2:
No new EOIs can be submitted under the Employer Job Offer streams.

  • June 21 – 22:
All existing EOIs in those streams will be withdrawn automatically.

  • June 27 – 29:
Complete system downtime—no OINP access for any program stream.

  • July 2:
The Employer Portal goes live. Employers can begin registering positions, and candidates can re-file EOIs.

Once live, each new EOI will remain valid for 12 months, and candidates may be selected in any draw during that period.

Practical Tips for Employers

  1. Plan Now for July: Identify employees or prospective hires you intend to support under OINP and prepare to re-launch their files in early July.

  2. Register Early: Familiarize yourself with the portal interface and add your key users so you’re ready to post positions on Day One.

  3. Streamline Document Handling: Leverage the secure upload feature to manage your job-offer letters, business licences, wage confirmations, and other files directly—no need to send them via applicants.

  4. Communicate with Candidates: As EOIs are withdrawn automatically in late June, alert your employees or prospective hires so they know to watch for new instructions and re-register promptly.
