New Technologies for Faster Processing:

Automated Tools: Two new tools will streamline the sponsorship and applicant parts of the process.

Sponsorship Part: Cases that can be “automatically approved” will be identified to reduce processing time.

Applicant Part: Initial eligibility analysis will be conducted, with routine cases processed swiftly.

Human Oversight: Final approval remains the responsibility of IRCC officers. Automated tools cannot refuse or suggest rejection of applications.

Commitment to Privacy and Human Rights: These technologies comply with privacy requirements and human rights protection, with an Algorithm Impact Assessment ensuring a moderate impact level and additional risk mitigation measures.
