The revised National Occupation Classification (NOC) system has been revealed, with details on how it may affect Express Entry eligibility.
In November 2022, NOC 2021 will take effect. According to an internal briefing paper, 16 vocations will become eligible for Express Entry, while three will become ineligible.
NOC 2016 is now being used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to establish the eligibility of occupations for its temporary and permanent immigration programmes. IRCC, on the other hand, is required by Canadian legislation to transition to NOC 2021 beginning in November.
