IRCC Provides More Flexibility for Work Permit Holders to Study in Canada!

Breaking barriers and opening doors! The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, has announced a game-changing temporary measure to support foreign workers.
 The Policy Change:
* The length limit on study programs for temporary foreign workers without a study permit is now removed.
* Previously, they could only study for programs of 6 months or less.
* Now, they can study full or part-time with no restrictions on the program’s length.
* This change acknowledges the importance of additional training and education for career growth.
 Benefits and Opportunities:
* Foreign workers can expand their job prospects and enhance their Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) for future permanent residency.
* The measure lasts three years and applies to those with a valid work permit or a pending work permit extension decision as of June 27, 2023.
* It empowers individuals to achieve their dreams, contribute to the Canadian labor market, and address critical labor shortages.
